Our London franchise used 40,000 Redland Rosemary machine made clay plain tiles to re-roof this prestigious Victorian property. The original clay tiles had laminated, causing numerous tiles to slip out. Extensive repairs were considered but ruled out as being an ineffective long term solution. A high performance membrane was used in conjunction with eaves ventilation and thru-tile ventilation to reduce the risk of condensation occurring. The existing ornamental ridge tiles and fittings were salvaged where possible. Broken and missing ridges were renewed with matching ridge tiles. All lead flashings to abutments, valley gutters and chimney gutters were renewed to LSA recommendations. The project was completed in 12 weeks.
