Single Ply at Roehampton
Working for the local authority a combination of mastic asphalt and built-up felt roof coverings were originally used as the waterproofing medium for these single storey units. Alwitra Evalon single ply roofing was selected to re-roof these properties. The existing waterproofing was prepared and used as a vapour control layer.
Polyurethane insulation board, to achieve 0.45U value was then fully bonded in hot bitumen. The Alwitra Evalon single ply roofing membrane was fully adhered to the insulation with ICB adhesive. Purpose made PVC coated roof edge trims were used at all verges. Alwitra PVC outlets were fixed into the existing cast iron rainwater pipes.
